New comments setup.... again
If you have been following these updates for a while, you know I've been playing with several different options for readers to leave comments. I have never been really happy with any of them. I finally got fed (and was bored at work), so I just created my own. Now right below the comic image, there is my commentary followed by all the comments about that comic. It is super easy for you add new comments and they show up right below the comic! If you left comments before, sadly... they are gone. But now you can go nuts. FREAKIN' NUTS !!!

First intermission sketch!
Hello readers. My friend Scott Krueger has agreed to create occasional interpretive sketches of the saga, and today we have the first one!
Scott took computer engineering classes with me at the University of Wisconsin and he used to entertain me by drawing hilarious pictures of our professor. Now I am lucky to have his skills put to use on the Cobra-Dog.com team. (team size = 2 now) I know you'll like these!

Easier commenting
I'd like to make it as easy as possible for readers to quickly leave comments. With this in mind, I've installed a quick comments box in the right hand panel of the website. As you may have noticed, I like drawing enlarged shots of Cobra Dog's hands. It makes for a sweet close-up, plus I think it is funny that his hands can do everything a human's can, even though they just look like dog paws when you see him zoomed out. Also, don't miss the flames in Melvin's eyes. He's frickin' pissed!

If you haven't noticed, I've added a panel of "vote" buttons to the right hand side of the Cobra-Dog.com site. If you like the site (and hopefully you do if you are subscribed), then help Cobra Dog be seen more often by voting!
Some links like BuzzComix, WebbedComics, WebcomicZ, and TopComics can be voted on EVERY DAY. It would REALLY help move the site up in the rankings.

Dropped Email
So it appears that Feedburner (the service that monitors my news and sends emails) occasionally drops an email update. I've read articles of this happening to other users too.
Feedburner should know about it now since lots of users are starting to complain.

The Saga Begins
Anybody that saw the animated Cobra Dog Cartoons knows that Cobra Dog came from space. But did you ever wonder what his life was like before he came to Earth? Of course you did. In order to give Cobra Dog Comics more depth, I am excited to announce the beginning of the comic saga. We're going back to the beginning of it all.

New site bugs
Sorry if anyone has experienced any website or newsletter linking problems lately. When you start a new website, there is always a period of time when you are trying to decide exactly how thing will lay out. Then of course there are always cross-browser compatibility problems. I'm working through some of these now and the site should be more stable soon.

Free Rhinoplasty !
I broke my nose about 2 years ago at a work sponsored flag football game. So much for a clean game huh ? Just recently workers comp agreed to pay 100% of the bill to fix the deviated septum that resulted. All I want is to once again breath out of my left nostril, but the doctor's receptionist still calls it rhinoplasty. This makes me feel a bit like a vain person looking to get a slightly more perfect nose. Oh well! Free Rinoplasty!

I've been sick like a dog for the last week. A couple mornings I felt like I had been hit by a truck when I woke up. My throat hurt so bad, I finally tried DayQuil for the first time. The stuff is great! Tastes like crap, but great. Hopefully you were able to avoid the cold/flu epidemic.

I'm not a huge fan of dance clubs, but I got dragged to one the other night. There was this guy dancing out on the floor, wearing a Bluetooth earpiece! Now MAYBE (and even in this case it is not acceptable) he could be pardoned if he had just stepped out of his office or car, but at a club?! No excuse! I can't stand these guys (or girls)!
